    Hello there,
I want to ask what is the best practise while adding keywords in meta-tags.
    Say:
    1. to add both singular & plural both words (eg. forum, forums, test, tests,
    or
    2. to add plural words, as plural word already contain the letters of singular words so SE can eventually read both, (see colors)

    Good question,
Firstly I would do a great deal of keyword research in an attempt to discover whether or not a plural version of a word has a search volume worthy of being targeted. If both the singular and plural words are justifiable, I would add both versions of the word into the meta keywords. I would do this so as to make it explicit to the SE bots that you wish to target both words.

It doesn't matter. Meta keywords weren't useful since the 1990s. The search engines will not make a ranking decision based on your keywords metatag. Most search engines will just ignore this tag.

If you are concerned anyway, it won't hurt to add both the singular and plural versions of your keyword.

My concern is does bot read between the words?
I mean if I have "downloads" as my keywords will it attract more than just downloads keywords.

    ie downloads downloads downloads downloads

As you can see we have 4 different keywords hiding here along with the "downloads"
    Any comments?

vansterdam has given you the answer - it makes no difference, it's not worth giving another second's thought to. Shove 2 or 3 keywords in if you like, but it won't make any difference to the major search engines if you don't have a keyword tag at all.

    Singular is my choice.

Google still uses the meta keywords tag, but I suspect how much weight given to those keywords is based on the trust of the site.

A couple weeks ago I modified one meta keyword and shaved 50 positions off the rank for that keyword in Google. No other SEO techniques were used (on or offpage).

You could be correct about that magda,
But personally I gained a lot of traffic since I added meta tags description & keyword on my website. There could be some other reasons for this But keywords addition seemed to be obvious effect... That's my personal experience.

one more example is having keyword Indian, do you need to add one more keyword as India or only indian is enough as it covers both words (read: Indian & Indian as a whole)

    thats my concern.
    thanks
