I would like to add mail@mydomain.com as an address to send and receive emails in Microsoft Outlook 2013, but I have no idea how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, do you have hosting with your domain, which includes emails?

If not - you can't send or receive emails with this domain. Get a hosting package which allows it.

I can receive emails as I have the incoming mail server correct, but can't send them. I contacted the host and they said I have to use my ISP contact details for the outgoing SMTP server. But how can this be if the username and logon details apply to both the incoming and outgoing server? I'm really confused. :(

    Thanks for your help.

Usually all the webhost provide SMTP server too,
You can switch to Hotmail service (Free) or Google Apps for Business if you need Incoming / Outgoing Mail Server, or setup your own small server on a cheap VPS.

Normally for incoming mail you set up your email address and password in outlook.
Then to send emails you use your ISP to send via outlook. Sending doesnt normally need the password as well

    1) Goto E-mail Account Settings.
    2) Click "new".

After you're there, you'll have to configure the unique settings of whatever email server you're using, and also insert your account crentials.

This logic is relatively uniform among the majority of Outlook Express versions.

PS: You'll have to contact whoever your webhost is (you're using your own domain right?) to find how to configure your email settings. (If you have Cpanel, click on "email accounts" and your configuration settings should be in there).

    Any questions?

    Let me know.

    :)

PPS: Want an easier way? Just go into control panel. Then type "Mail". Then click "Setup e-mail accounts and directories". You can access your outlook configuration settings via the control panel... How's that for ninja?
