Using Paypal Could Destroy Your Business

Paypal will steal your money if they lock (limited access) your paypal account. whatever money is in the account will be locked for 6 months.. while this money is in limbo, you can not withdraw or refund any of it. so Paypal gets to use all this money for profit making.

This could destroy a persons ebay selling account, due to you will not have access to your money, to give refunds or to ship items with, and if your only income is selling on ebay... you could become homeless due to paypals actions.

Paypal has zero customer support, and when you do get to talk to a person, they are very rude.

Paypal also pays off EPINIONS(dot)COM to remove any negative opinions or negative reviews about them -

Paypal is a greedy, rude company, this company makes its profits from ebay sellers, yet they do not protect the seller - not one bit.

They allow buyers to return items and give them a refund with no verification of the item returned is the same item as purchased.

IMO people have a love/hate relationship with paypal. I have heard horrible stories about peoples accounts getting locked, paypal refunding payments, etc.

I have been lucky. I have been with paypal since they opened and never had trouble, have sold on ebay and used it for my websites and I have never had those problems.

I also wonder what exactly you have to do to get your paypal assets frozen. I have seen a ton of "paypal is evil" sites and since I have never had a problem with them I truly wonder what one has to do to experience the bad stuff.

Agree, most of the times the buyers or sellers are involved in obscure situations and blame PayPal.

I'm not 100% but I do remember that if your account had transactions with a stolen CC / account then they freeze all of the accounts and work it out later...

    1. 3 years ago i bought my first ebook. About ebay and he send me some magic tricks book :( I told paypal that told me no no we do not care you got something that all that matters.

    2.

This year my friends account got frozen beucase he took a payment from aa stolen credit card. This could happen to anyone and if you do not have enought rep they will freeeeze it for 6 month. In his case they told him we do not trust you as a customer please take out your 0 $.

    3.

I sold flowers to a customer in USA with 33 in rep i have 44. He order a extra for 30 $ i get the money he ask paypal to give them back after i deliver.
They ask me in an email if this is ok.
I say HELL NO and i wait 5 days and i get the email back saying there is no such email
Next day they said sorry we gave him the money back!
Lucky me he paid up once more but if he had not i would be toast beucase PP do not protect you.

But give me a WORKING alternative

You could wind up just not using the account. No money in, No money out. That will help you. And only use credit card transactions period.

so far paypal has been like a brother to me, no trouble from them. Never got my account locked. I think If you do not fool around with the account and make any illegal proccesses then you will be ok :)

I have been using paypal for almost 2 years... thousands of dollars moved around and not one single problem.

Couldn't be happier with them. Of course, believing a one-post-wonder and his pathetic little rant is absurd. As everyone says, if you do business like a profesisonal you should have no worries.

Reminds me of those thieves that come here crying because they got banned by adsense "for no reason"

Ever see the scene is "Clerks" when the guy is in the convenience store telling people how bad smoking is for your health? He then goes on to getting everyone to buy gum instead. Come to find out he is a salesman for the gum company.

I am with fryman on this one. I have lost a small amount money (maybe 3 times in the last 6 years), but that is the cost of doing business. The way I figure it, if someone does a chargeback or doesn’t send the item I ordered, why is that paypal’s fault? They have no say in or leverage of profits from the risks I take in business, why should they be liable when it doesn’t pan out.

I used to use Paypal, but I am now using a merchant account. Unless you have a good reason (underage, selling high risk, etc) you should consider a merchant account.

Yeah I hate how they think they can just claim an amount of money whenever they want. They done this once just becausr they wanted updated ID information so i had to go to the hassle of faxing a photocopy of my passport ect. jjust to get my money out

Uhhhh reality check. Buyers have most of the rights in terms of commerce in the US.

Did you know if you're under 18 and not accompanied by a guardian or adult while purchasing in the US you can claim a refund on anything you buy in a store?

I've always used Paypal and am happy with them.
It's quite simple, just don't keep large amounts of money in your paypal account :)

I move thousands of dollars through my PayPal business account and I never had any problems with it for the past 2 years. I accept payments through PayPal funds and e-checks, no credit or debit cards. That's it! I am happy! PayPal sends me cash to my bank account within 2 business days at the most, you know why? because I am legit and I do legit business. I never had a chargeback, never had a complaint, never made a refund. Don't bring crap to PayPal and PayPal wont bring crap to you. I am sick of these "horror stories", if you don't like it, be kind enough to "stfu" and use something else!
