Using other site logos on your own site?

    Hi guys,

Any advice here would be appreciated.

Say if I was to launch a site that provides a related service to myspace or youtube, is it legal to have their logo on my site as I am talking about what I offer?

My first guess is no, but I see it a lot on other sites with other logos (ie facebook) but it seems those sites have some kind of trademark acknowledgments disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

    Any help?

    TIA Cheers!

    Ash

if your using it as YOUR logo then no, I think it would be ok if you used youtubes logo if you say, were talking about youtube, or linking to it.

Depends on how they're used. Small thumbnail logos should be OK, but it shouldn't give the false impression that the company endorses you. Some companies are very strict about logo usage. Ebay's affiliate forum is full of anxious questions about it. :D

I think that all depends on the site. Some are very picky and others not so much. At the very least I would make the logo a link to their site.
