Using official name for ODP

In the text that goes along with the "Directories" forum, it says
Could we change the name from "DMOZ" to "ODP", or "Open Directory Project", please, since that is the official name of the directory. You will not find the name "DMOZ" on any current ODP documentation (unless it's a history lesson), so would like to avoid some confusion.

    Thanks.

The only issue with this is that most people (especially Newbies) know it as DMOZ

I would think changing it to ODP would result in more confusion (Even though actually correct)

Change it to DMOZ/ODP ODP/DMOZ and you'll cover all bases...

yeh...too bad they can't even get their branding right !!

    Biased Directory would suffice ;)

I'd say change to ODP (dmoz.org) or to what minstrel suggested

I think either minstrel's or liminal's suggestions would be a good compromise. Thanks for the input!

Well, why do you think I asked to have the change made? So that the branding is a little more clear!
