Using Offer Codes with packages

    Shawn,

Have products and packages setup exclusive to a class, and have selected "Exclude from List of all Products" for products and also for the packages. Have customers in Optigold that have come in with webinterface using Offer Codes tied to packages. As you know Offer Codes to an Account Class, then a package tied to same Account Class etc etc.

What I am seeing is when using the GUI interface of OG our CSR's can add a billing item from another class, or when generating and invoice can select an item from another class for those records that came in with an Offer Code.

After extensive research I've isolated this to be records where an Offer Code was used upon signup with packages.

Have you heard of this before? Wondering how to correct..

    Thanks.

Is the customer's account class set on their record?

Yes it is. Nothing appears out of the norm with exception when you go to add a billing cycle item or create an invoices as items from another class appear in the list to select from.

What if you were to delete the customer's account class? Do the products change as expected?

I deleted their account class while in their account tied them to another account class that did not use an Offer Code and it filtered the billing cycle items correctly.

I deleted their account class while in their account leaving it null and was able to select billing cycle items from other class's.

    It baffles me whats happening

The offer code doesn't do anything internally with the account class other than set it on the customer's record. The only thing I can think of is maybe when the offer code is setting it, it has an extra character in there or something? See if you have any invisible characters or something on the offer code setup. Maybe a carriage return or something else?

What it looks like its doing is for the account class's that were created sameday as the offer codes, it displays all items in the list when it shouldn't. I pushed a record through without an offer code and selected an account class that is using an offer code. It then displays all products (which I don't want it to do). Changed back to a different account class (that doesn't use an offer code) and it filters the items correctly.

Checked what you refernced above and Offer Codes look good with no spaces, carriage returns etc.

Any other thoughts? Looks like the problem is associated to the account class's that are assigned to the Offer code. Its almost as if items are they are looking at "ALL". Packages are filtered out successfuly.

Here's a thought..is their a limit to the amount of characters for an account class?

I would keep it under 20 or so characters.

What are one of the offer codes? Anything besides alpha-numeric characters in it?

Yeah, definitely shouldn't be any issues with those. Hmmm.... I'll do a little testing and see if I can replicate the problem.

Yes... not something I've been able to replicate yet though.
