    Hi all

Right now i am doing seo for an online university site and we planned to implement joomla content managrement system .

I want to know implementing joomla will affect search engine optimization.

To be more clear can we follow normal search engine optimization techniques for the websites created by joomla or is there any special techniques available to do seo for joomla website.

    Thanks in advance

Yes you can use Joomla and still perform SEO on it effectively. There are some nifty mods that can create SEF URLs and there is space for you to quickly to edit meta keywords and descriptions for each and every article if you want.

I love using Joomla as it makes things so much easier. I would highly recommend using it.

Btw, MSN seems to love my Joomla sites which is nice as I seem to get some quick natural traffic (even if it isn't as much as the big G would give me).

I believe there are plug-ins to improve Joomla powered sites in terms of SEO. Fundamentally, it does not differ from other templates and one should focus on the titles, METAs and descriptive URL.
