It definitely is in my opinion mate. I've been using it for 2-3 years while programming :)

I tried to download it and install it, but then I had a headache so I deleted it.. hehe.
    So I haven't tried it, I'm sure it's a good editor.
I use dreamweaver to edit html/css/php/etc, just to highlight the code in different colors, but I assume that's exactly what Notepad++ does? :p

Yes, all my sites are all 100% written in Notepad++, whether that be my use of CSS, HTML, PHP or MySQL.

Which event of Anarchy in 1999 are you referring to?

I've used it, it's simple and does the job. However, I prefer a more powerful tool. I've bought textmate copy known as e* for windows http://www.e-texteditor.com

I prefer Notepad myself, It was the first tool I used and since I have used it for 3 years I'm not gonna bother with another. It's very simple, but I think thats what I like about it, I don't need a bunch of fancy stuff for what I do.

Another great one with more commands is "Edit Pad" editpadpro.com/editpadlite.html

I'm using HTML-Kit for a year now, it's free and easy. There are so many free plug-ins which will extend its power.

I use note pad to do all of my coding but i sometimes use dreamweaver for its update speed to my site with new articles and upload functions, and if i do i write the code not just do the clicking as i see a fad of everyone doing now.

    Hi,

One missing feature of notepad++ is you cannot open two notepad++ windows at same time, only support tabs.

I love notepad, it's basic, clean and there's no cluttery buttons around. I personally prefer using the notepad to code (by hand) than programs.
