Using new sites to link back to your site

    I find this interesting....

I've visited a few websites lately that are in the same niche as I am (not the site listed in my signature) and it seems as though people are just copying articles from news sites and using it as "content"....

Is this normal process for building links or helping with traffic coming to your site?

I would give an example but I do not want to be the snitch.....

    Just wondering.....

    Thanks

Well, I don't know how building content is building links... content helps with a lot of things, but if they are just posting duplicate content, then it will just ultimately hurt them... they may get an initial spike in the search engines, but all will even out.

sorry...maybe this is the wrong thread for this topic. Basically, it looks like the site is just a replica of a news website. The articles begin on the "xyz.com" website with a link back to the original news site. So are you saying that doing this does nothing for them?

Just wondering why they do it.....maybe they think its helping bring traffic.

So you recommend not posting duplicate content...I agree. So how does the link building bible work?

duplicate content can be a problem

so I will suggest you write an article, or pay for new one(it's not so expensive)

You can also use an article spinning software to produce different variations of the same article which will prevent the duplicate content penalty.
