Using new domain for existing website Will this affect ranking?

    Hello,

I am changing my domain from websitetrafficresellers.com to something else. But websitetrafficresellers.com has over a hundred incoming links and is in rank #30 for a keyword. Is there a way to lessen the affects of moving websitetrafficresellers.com to my other domain? Is it possible that I can keep all the old links? What should I do?

    Thank You

There's no problem with this, just make sure all your links use a 301 redirect. Eventually you'll lose some rankings, but they should get back after a few days since they're all permanent redirects.

Changing domain name will be unwise, if you change the content you will find same number of visitors to your site(depends on how much you change)
But the ranking system is given solely to the Domain name and not the content or the themes.
However ranking may degrade later if you remove original contents.. and you will regret it.

Well at least this site doesn't have a lot of pages, so these links probably all go to your main url, right? If it was a blog with 300 inbound links then it would be a lot of tedious work setting up a 301 for each post that's linked to.
