    Hi All,

I'd like to know if anyone of you uses MySpace and Facebook to advertise for your business? Have you had any success visitors to your sites from these two social networking sites?

Can you share some of your thoughts and experience, good or bad... :)

What market venues have you done on Myspace, did you try to buy tons of friends? Did you put videos?

    Any thoughts would be helpful.

I have used Face Book to advertise a domain of mine. I never payed for advertising just had tons of random people add me via an application so changed my status to my domain address. I received some hits from it before I stopped using Face Book

so why did you stop? did it not give you a good return?
would you consider using it again as another avenue?

I got visitors from it but Face Book bothers me so I just stopped logging in. Would rather spend my time doing other things then Face Book advertising.

Personally I think these social sites are nice tools in promoting and selling. In fact i wrote a post some time ago about it. A nice way to do it is to create an account of your site at myspace, then join groups that are related to your niche. Gain some friends and a good rep, and then start selling! :)

Yeah, I think it makes sense that you would have to get involved and build your network before you start hurling sales pitches at sites like these.
