Using my own search box

I apologize if this has been asked, but can I use the Google search box placed on my website as long as I do not click on any of the ads. I would simply like to see what the results page looks like as far as colors and design goes. Thanks.

Yes, you can in theory. AdSense for Search only pays if you click on a sponsored search result - as long as you don't do this you're not defrauding the system. It looks just like any other Google search result.

Edit: See link in my next reply - although not forbidden, not recommended by Google.

Its hard to know sometimes! Google is very picky. Good to know this tip.

I would not do it, I think you could possibly get into problems. It would still show that you did a query and even though you do not click on the ads, Google may not like it. Better to be safe than sorry.
