Hi, I have an existing website and forum, the website gets roughly 400 uniques a month and the forum around 600-700 uniques every month, the forum links onto my website.I'll promote it more in order to get more visits. It gets the little traffic it does now because i promote on forums relative to the niche and also because the domain name itself is highly searched for, therefore i get a bit of traffic that way. My website is very very "niche" and not alot of people have a website like it. 1) I initially started the website and created software for people and got sales, but now want to start running affiliate products relative to the niche there, is this a good idea and what's the best way to go about it? 2) From my website i have generated around 50 email addresses and from the forum around 40 email addresses (only 40 members so far!), should i use these email addresses to send out product information regarding the affiliate products i want to promote? How should i go about this also? Thanks for any help!!
It is a good idea to promote your affiliate programs on your website, don't spam your pages full of different affiliates but maybe have 2 or 3 good quality programs which you have the banners or links for on your website.
Thanks for the response. I was thinking of doing the banner thing as you suggested, but perhaps also creating a mywebsite/store/ section or something and using amazons store widget thingy and putting relative products within there. ALso within that section of my website using the clickbank products of relevance to my niche and creating articles within my website (with an affliate link on the product page) then promoting my internal aritcles via social bookmarking etc etc... are these good ideas?
