Does anyone here use Compete.com or Quantcast on their site? If so, would you recommend using or not using them? On one hand, they give somewhat decent data that you can use when pricing your ad space or other promotions...you can use the data to compare it against your competitors in real time. on the other hand, they give away your site's personal info: age range of people who visit the site, gender, race, location, etc. Lastly, do either of these services put a strain on your site or server?
Well, I simply use Analytics for traffic and that's pretty much it. I try to focus on what's important to customer rather than focus on what the competitors are doing.
