Hey everyone, I've doing some research on competitors for a new website I'll be launching soon, and I noticed that a few of them are using keyword domains that redirect to their real sites. This is nothing new of course, but then I noticed the keyword domains were indexed in Google as actual sites. After viewing the cache for the site, they have a splash page setup with real content. Apparently only Google Bots can see this content - all other users are passed onto their real website. Has anyone used this method themselves? Since it doesn't use any client-side code, I don't know that Google can actually detect it. Thoughts?
This is called Cloaking its basically a conditional redirect that if the visitor is GOOGLE BOT - show him this page or if a visitor is other than google bot, show him this page
