I set up Joomla to use as an article repository. What are some good templates to use? Are there any how-to's that explain setting up Joomla as an article respository? Are there any key extensions I should be using? Is there another CMS (I checked out all the other article repository specific stand-alone scripts mentioned on DP recently and none of them were satisfactory.) that would be better for an article repository?
joomla is a great solution for the article sites. i think you must use jasubmit component with joomla. you can find it on joomla extensions site
Pardon my ignorance, but I'm trying to figure out how a file repository module would be used as an article repository.
Also, I am a total newbie at Joomla and am still trying to figure out the basic functionality. Is there a way to categorize news items in an article repository-style format of categories with Joomla's base functionality?
I was going to use Joomla for my articles site, but i changed to Drupal because i thought it offered better functions for articles. I played around with Joomla for a couple of days but didnt manage to get it working how i wanted it to.
