Using IP address instead of localhost

    i am no big expert but your server is not allowing it to be accessed through ip some setting needs to be changed

    It's most likely how your httpd.conf is setup, assuming you are using Linux & Apache. Are you using any specific control panel, or how is your server setup otherwise?

    Yeah something's not quite right there. I'm running a testing server from my desktop pc and if I type in that pc's local ip (192.....) I get the server home page.

    Are you sure your getting the right IP address? If you have more than one computer on a network for example, your computer might not have the same IP address it did last time you turned it on.
