Howdy! I've seen experts recommending create an infographic and submitting them to relevant directories. Have you tried this strategy and what are the results? Are you satisfied with the results?
I haven't tried it because creating an infograph is a tedious task, but I believe that it is beneficial for some businesses because the approach is different from what everyone knows.
Hi, Chance of getting high traffic from infographics is less ... its not essential to submit infographics, but still we can do some qualified submission which will create some traffic.
I think best infographics for link building of e-commerce sites (and I deal only with eCommerce sites) are those which present a unique research data on a particular industry. It need not be very complicated or colorful. But it should give some unique insight about the industry. For e.g if your site sell shoes, you can come up with an infographic which visualises say the impact of shoe's size on IQ. These are the infographics which have the potential to be picked up by news sites for their articles. Just my 2cents.
It highly dependent on the nature of your business. Do you have a business that could provide statistical data for your potential customers? If yes, infographic is not only a great medium that helps you get backlinks but also huge referral traffic.
I've had some success doing this but can be very time consuming. Making them is my strong point so I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble unless you can whip out an infographic in no time
love a bit of infograhic what i usually do is research for interesting content related to niche and then i whip out Photoshop and create my graphics for very good high ranking content. and then i pintrest for social signals and seo.
infographics are good to incorporate in link building because they easily attract eyeballs but they really are a tedious task as what @Patricia Ann Lee stated.
Think larger, content strategy planning. One infographic is like bringing one bread roll to a party. It disappears quickly and everyone is still hungry.
Keep in mind, too, that an infographic is still an image, as far as the search engines are concerned. Be sure to add the alt tags, so it can be indexed.

Yes, Infographics are beneficial for website because infographic is a way to present information, data, and knowledge in a visual manner. We can get natural back-links with infographics.
If the infographics tell something useful, you can get some visitors and also some good backlinks (if any1 likes it, he could post in his website!) If you just post content there that you rewrote, better don't go with it, as in most cases, you need only figures, tables, drawings, etc.
