Using images with Adsense

I remember reading some time ago about something about using images directly above the Adsense adds. I think it made reference to having relevant images above the ads or something. Does anybody know where I can find info on this?

Seems to suggest that a hyperlinked banner ad would be risky, but a none hyperlinked banner would be okay. If I remember correctly wasn't there something about using images to draw the readers attention to the Adsense ad against the TOS? Anyway, I'll look around the website.
