If i use pictures from picture sharing sites such as flickr ,do I waste pagerank with it.Mean does this count as a backlink tp flickr.com ?
If so,how to prevent it.Maybe nofollow somewhere ?

Nofollow needs a link. A link is an a element.

You don't "waste" page rank by linking out; it's a measure of the pages that link in to you.

Page rank, at least what we can see on the toolbar, is almost as useless as Alexa rank.

You arent linking out you are just referencing a picture.
No problems with that at all :)

Yes, Tonybogs is right. It has got to do nothing with page rank.
