Using http://www.mydomain.tld/?location=something links

Will a link to an URL like http://www.mydomain.tld/?location=something will be as useful for the main domain's PageRank as one like http://www.mydomain.tld ?

For example, I have a website which has different PageRanks for the same page, with different variables:

    PR3: http://www.greetings.zeromedia.ro/index.php
    PR2: http://www.greetings.zeromedia.ro/index.php?category=Birthday
    PR0: http://www.greetings.zeromedia.ro/index.php?category=Christmas

(yes, I know, not a good URL optimization... I'm working on it right now :D )

To be more precise: can I get the maximum results starting an MLM like promoting campaign using referral links like http://www.mydomain.tld/?ref=something ? Will this type of links have the same effect in Google like http://www.mydomain.tld links? I saw websites that use this type of URLs for better categorizing their traffic.

    Thank you.
