using http://del.icio.us for linkbuilding?

when u go to http://del.icio.us and signup and add your bookmark,how long does it take to show up in the del.icio search results and does this mean it'll make a backlink?

 

i know links on digg count for backlinks. However, they are removed from the site after a certain amount of time.

 

I think it will show up immediately as I have noticed many of my links

as well as the links saveds by me

 

I bookmarked several posts on a topic related to one of my blogs, yet when I go to that tag, the most recent ones are from 6 hours ago. So either it hasn't posted them yet, or it's not listing mine. I've been bookmarking posts from this same blog for a few weeks and this is the first time I've seen this.

Anyone else notice this? Does del.icio.us not list your post if you've posted a certain amount of URLs from your blog in the past? Any thoughts on this?

There was a thread started here a few months back where site owners sent ach othere delicious links to each other..particularly web directories. There was initially lots of link juice being spread around but it has died off.

 

i saw many people do mass submit links to del.icio.us
i wonder if this ok?

 

De.licio.us search results pages don't have a high pagerank of themselves, so my guess is it won't do much to improve that. It might be good for sending some traffic your way, along with all the other tactics you employ. At the end of the day, just like any other search engine, there are zillions of results for the same keywords as your own, so it is again a competition to get a high search ranking, isn't it?

Right, and once again worth reiterating the need to have a gander at the source code of any given site and make sure it does not have "nofollow" tags... Could save a whole load of time...!

its not using for backlinks! as on google algos record mostly natural traffic for ranking, so its using only for traffics!

 

Remember some del.icio.us URL are showing now on Google SERP. Yes, it's basically you will get traffic from them. Either organic or just plain search in del.ico.us website.

It won't help you in PageRank but as I've said earlier and others it will help you gain traffic.
