    Hello,

I am going to use mod rewrite on one of my site. I am just going to use this

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} s=(.*)&q=(.*)
    RewriteRule search/page-%1/%2? [R=301,L]
    RewriteRule search/page-(.*)/(.*)$ search.php?s=$1&q=$2 [L]

    PHP:
My question is: does it make any difference on speed or does it have any other side effects?

    Thanks

I wouldn't say so, but if there is any difference, it would be very small ;) - Hardly noticeable!

Will not make any noticeable difference to the speed of your site.

Might be a tiny slowdown to account for the 301 Redirect. Also, the (.*) may not work as expected, put (.*?) if it doesn't.
