    hey guys
I am using hostgator web hosting now, my package going to expire soon.
want to move another hosting company, because monthly and yearly hostgator cost is very high as follow:
    Monthly: $9.95
    6 month: $59.70
    1 year: $119.40
    2 year: $214.80
    3 year: $286.20

guys advise me should I go with godaddy hosting? or any other which support is good and has a better price monthly
or I should stay with hostgator?
    your feedback is appreciated :)

I've been with namecheap for 6-7 years already. They're pretty responsive and knowledgeable people.

HostGator is going to be generally much better than GoDaddy. GoDaddy is not recommended at all. That said, $10/mo. for hosting isn't a bad price if the quality is good. As long as you are happy with the service you are getting, no sense in moving.

That said, HostGator was recently purchased by EIG, who has a bad reputation of running hosts into the ground. Most believe it's just a matter of time before that happens with HG, but who knows how long that is going to take.

Yea, nobody know about the future of hostgator with EIG as they have handful of companies to run... You can find many host offering better deal out there. Just choose one looking at reviews and other stuff.

Any Good alternative Shared Hosting Provider?
Sad to know that Hostgator was sold to EIG.

There are tons of providers out there folks, might want to narrow down your options with some requirements. Bandwidth, disk space, server location, control panel, specific features needed, etc... Tons of providers offer lower rates than HG, some with promotional offers and others with just their basic rates.

Does the OP have any other requirements that would help us suggest particular providers?

So now the hostgator is under with EIG? Can you share to me guys your thoughts on this now that the hostgator is under with EIG, what would happen next? Is it still the best hosting to use?

There's no such thing as "best hosting to use", because everyone will have a different variation of what the "best hosting" is, and also there are many open threads about HG/EIG discussing just this already.

I'm not sure but I'm assuming the promo offer was to get you to sign up initially, and likely not a recurring discount. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct. Discount coupons are only valid for new customers and only work on their 1st payment.

If you ask me hostgator is pretty good quality for the price. If your income depends on your sites staying online, I'd stick with hostgator.

I wouldn't use any other host than Hostgator, simply because their support is great and I never ran into a problem with them.

I personally wouldn't recommend Hostgator or GoDaddy either.

Don't go with Godaddy for hosting. They are good for domains, but not for hosting. I would recommend you to go with Bluehost or InMotion hosting. I'm with Bluehost already 4 years without any problems.

I heard about bluehost. They are pretty good but I think hostgator is better as the downtime is really less.

Status for hostgator! There is an offer for 40% Discount .Even i purchased hosting for my blog

Dreamhost is good but its really pricey. For the first year you may get huge discounts but from the second year it will make hole in your pockets. Dream host is good for people who earn well from their blogs or who have money to spend.
