using "google" in your domain for commercial gain - allowed?

    i stumbled on this website today > www. getg**gled .com

    i (for some reason) thought using TMs for commercial gain is a BIG no-no?

    what say you... :confused:

    I would venture a guess here: It must be legal to make an opinionated statement about a TM. Getting googled is a verb nowadays and part of the everyday language. As such you should be entitled to use it. Period.

    Then again, if there is any chance I'm wrong won't Google try to get it?

    So what you're saying is basically that Google will do what they can in terms of shutting down adsense on this site, but not nessecarily go any further (lawsuits et cetera...)? Sounds about right to me.

    If I were Google and I saw someone using my name I would sue the heck out of them - that said they probably can't do much more than bluster at you and threaten - if yo becaue a rather big site then they may actually take notice\offense...
