I've been using Google ad-word to advertise my site, but the result is very disappointed. I am working as an affiliate with some art galleries. My question is when running ads by using Google ad-word as an affiliate marketer should you add the word "Aff" or "affiliate" in your ads? From my perspective, I think that would be a great idea to let people know that you are an affiliate because that would make them feel more comfortable. What do you think?
Google used to force you to use Aff or affiliate in your ad, but not anymore. Although they removed that rule years ago, you still occasionally see such ads, likely people not aware of the change or worse, not actively managing their account. Many people would not know what an affiliate is so you would confuse them. Most of those who do likely wouldn't care. I think you should create your site as if it's your own product. Think of any store like Walmart. They advertise all sorts of products. Yet, any intelligent person knows they didn't make any of them. In a way, they are affiliates of each of the products they sell.
Thanks to everyone who reply to my thread. I was kind of confused about that because I felt that using the word "Affiliate" would have made visitors feel more comfortable.
