    Hello DP,

Just wondering how effective including free blog services such as blogger and wordpress, when building a blog network? I am running out of IP addresses xD

    Thanks in advance,
    Patrick

In my experience advertisers are more reluctant to advertise on free blogs like blogger and Wp.com

Since it's for link development, it works quite alright actually :) Just don't go overboard - I'm assuming they'd get devalued a bit after so many coming from *.blogspot.com & *.wordpress.com

Among the free blog hosting sites I've been experimenting, wordpress really works in terms of being a source of backlinks.

Both WP.com and blogger.com work well in terms of building links and some ranking. The trick with either of these blog platforms is to treat them as a regular site that you manage. This includes some content and link building. I have several older WP.com blogs that have decent PR and rank for longtail keywords.

They should be part of building a 'buffer' strategy around your website. You can freely submit these blogs to social media sites without affecting reputation of your main website :)
