I have a successfully running website with pr-2 and pr3 and I have a forum, which is doing well as well. However, I am thinking to keep forum for general talk, chit-chat and seo talk and I am thinking to keep technology scripts, programs, errors on a blog. Reason: Some old threads in forum comes on search engines than goes away on to later pages. I want thinks to be consistent like my static primary website. Help me with this descision as what to do. I can put all tech scripts, programs, errors on my static website, but it`s too hard to code everytime I want to update anything. So I am looking for cms better for seo and If my post shows up on google search, should not go too far in few days.
I also use same techniques to promote my website, i use forum posting and blog commenting for increasing traffic and ranking of a website.
My question is specific to blog or forum when talking about SEO as I want my threads to be on the place they show on search (example page 2) and in a week it goes to page 7 or 8. Unlike my static website, once the page is on google page 2, it remains there for ever.Thats what i dont see with forum, but can i see this with a blog or some other cms?
Well for me, both are effective for getting traffic and ranking. Blogs are the place where people can find something useful and forums where they discuss about their problems or general discussion.
