Using Fiverr to promote

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Surminga, Mar 1, 2012.

I've been working on my main Blog which I am focusing on mainly marketing solely but now I am getting drained doing so much work towards no real output or gain.

My question now is should I start using Fiverr to get a little help to get a little bit more exposure via people promoting to their large twitter following or people getting me some quality back links - does anybody have some good experience using Fiverr or tips before starting out?

    Cheers

It is a good idea to use fiverr for marketing website. There are different types of services which you can use like Yahoo answer, twitter, backlinks etc. And they will definitely help promoting your website. But wisely choose from Fiverr, because there are some crap.

Outsourcing your work is a great way to get help with marketing but I would only recommend buying services from sellers with positive feedback.

Cheers guys, just had a look and made two orders to test the water - both with quite high positive review numbers and in all great reviews. 10 dollars to test it isn't going to break the bank, just see how it goes before I start investing more

Fiverr is great for getting Twitter followers and getting backlinks!! Like @Surminga said, spend $10 to test a couple of sellers that have good reviews. Surprisingly, there are some really good sellers on Fiverr. ~Kim

Fiverr is good if you know what to buy, who from, and what to do with what you buy. Don't buy any gigs that blast thousands of spam backlinks at your site. They will do more harm than good. Social bookmark gigs can be decent and fairly safe.

Buying twitter followers is pretty pointless too because you'll just end up with a load of spam bots, and trashy followers who are themselves trying to increase their followers ie. they're not interested in you or what you are saying.

You can find a few half decent writers on their, but you'll have to shop around before you find them.

    Hello my friend,

Using fiverr is a good idea but DO NOT buy an traffic gigs there. The traffic is mainly software or automated traffic,(not human) and will do nothing for you...

There are some good seo gigs and services though. Always check the feedback of each seller before you buy on fiverr...

Plus hit the conact seller button to ask the seller any questions you may have before you part with your fiverr...

PM me if you need any help :)
    kindest regards Louis D

i make it a rule...if it's been the person offering the gig has very few order, email them first :)
i've had the best results with gigs offering angela style backlinks, forum backlinks and article submission.
i've ordered link wheels and pyramid links from some providers with a lot of past orders. I was not impressed because the properties or base level of the web2.0 properties are not from the popular 2.0 sites.

    good luck!

This really depends on what your using fiverr, and in this case I`m going to disagree. You should focus on quality huge blogs, and try to guest post blog to get links. I wouldn`t bother in fiverr for traffic. Think realisticly, $5 for what quality traffic? 20 blog comments? If thats the case, I would run away.

I would suggest using outsourcers, however you need to watch out for what they do. Some of them will point hundreds of links to your site in less than a few hours and when they do this Google will look at it as shady link building and possibly penalize your site. If you do use Fiverr, I would recommend linking to a high pr site (youtube, squidoo, blogger) and point a link from that site to yours. This way your site won't get harmed if the person you hire builds shady links. Just a thought.

Manual social bookmarking could help. You can do this yourself or hire someone on Fiverr. You may want to consider Diggs, Stumbleupon, and Reddit too. I usually get great traffic from Reddit.

well, I tried different services in there, spent something like $35 in there. Buying facebook likes don't give you anything by the end of the day, I still have the fans, but I could as well not have them. Google+ likes didn't give a thing, and were all removed within 30 days. The guy who posted 100 twitter posts for me...actually really just bursted out 100 tweets in 2 hours...making more harm than good. Guy who sent a tweet to his account with 50k followers didn't produce any visitors.

So from my experience, anything that has anything to do with promotion side of the business - don't.

However, a friend of mine has had luck with programmers there to fix a bug or two. I managed to buy couple of nice databases there and so on. So fiverr is good for something, but when it comes down to promotion, usually, don't!

Keep in mind that Fiverr isn't your only option for outsourcing. There are a lot of options out there. Start making a list of everything you do and figure out what things someone else could do for you.

Fiverr is great for many things and although I have never purchased traffic from there, I cannot imagine it to be any good at all. I mean, come one, high quality traffic for $5???

I have purchased facebook likes and they were pretty much useless, cant imagine the traffic to be much better. I know its only $5, but its better spent on other things like ebook covers, voice overs, graphics, coding and other techie things that you may not know how to do or just prefer to outsource...
