    Is this the best option?

I assume that it will be much quicker, but what about the costs?

I normally have to pay £7 for transfers from the USA (with lloyds-tsb)

There are no costs with EFT as far as I'm aware, certainly much quicker/cheaper than cashing a cheque at Lloyds. You can get the money deposited in £'s sterling so you wont even get that stupid £1 charge from Lloyds for foreign transactions.

I've had no charges from Barclays with EFT, the money goes in and is already cleared and is ready to spend :)

I presume if Google have any sense they'll convert the money to sterling and then send it through their UK office/accounts - it would certainly speed things up a lot.

Even if you did get hit with a charge for EFT (which you probably won't, judging by what other people have said) it's still probably less than what your bank will charge for cashing cheques drawn on a US bank account. I can't say for sure though as I've yet to earn enough to get a payment from Google now that they're not clearing accounts at the end of the year like they used to.

I'm running EFT Google for quite a while (UK) they convert (fairly good rate) and send Sterling no charges normal bank transfer.

Because of their seize it would be a bit suisidal for any money institute to play with them.....

Sound good - so are any of you actually using a UK lloyds account for EFT?

And can confirm that you don't get charged?

NatWest business account no charge - as it is just a bank transfer.
