Using effectively 30,000 contacts?

I have a famous forum having more than 30,000 members, So basically i have 30,000+ email contacts. Now i have started a new blog. How can i use those 30,000 email addresses to effectively promote my new blog?

Any ideas.

 

That's a nice size list. The value will depend on the subject matter of your niche.

 

i would think it would depend on how closely related your blog is to your forum

 

The forum covers technology news, how to tips, tutorials, windows tips and some off topic discussions. The blog is also a tech blog the only difference is that forum is in local langauge while blog is in english (but i do know most of the forum members are running english sites).

So how should i go about it? An advertise on forum will be ok or should i email them about blog?

 

Does your email contact allow you to email them any news not related to your forum aka opt in list?
If no,then you are not allow to sent them any email else it will categories as spam.
If yes,then you're welcome to do so.You can introduce your blog indirectly such as notified your email receipent about they can find out more info about latest tech news at your blog etc

 

yes they allow me since the email is asked under this line "Your Email adress to recieve emails from administator"
