    Dear DP Forumers,

I was advised by a marketeer friend of mine not to use "eff" for "effective" in domain names which I initially wanted to. He asked me to look it up on Google but I can't seem to find any info pertaining to this guideline or reasons why.

Anyone can shed some light on this? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the sharing guys... yea I think its about not using acronyms. But that would mean super long domains though :(

maybe you can try orther domain like .net or .co, if you want to do business in China you can use .cn, and if you like to do business in Hong Kong, then you can use .hk~lots of choices!
