my company uses dreamweaver to update our site. I have been doing all the updates but they now want each department to update there section. Is there a way to do this so we dont bump heads. Maybe some kind of synchronize system or a way to lock down some sections of the site. I am using templetes

Or you could use Filezilla as your FTP client. They have a "download all files newer that the ones you have" function that allows you to update your local copy of a website before you make changes and upload.

There's built in support for this already in Dreamweaver. You check in/check out files similar to file version control software.
