Using directories for building backlinks seems to be the fastest way, but can you get around the conformation part (posting HTML somewhere on your blog)? That part just bugs me. And if you pay someone to submit to directories for you, how do they get around this. Thanks, Noc
not sure i understand where you are having trouble submiting to directories. all the directories allow you to submit your title, description, and url
For instance on one site it asked you to put HTML on a page in your site. Called "Reciprocal Link URL:" how do you get around doing that?
just choose "regular link", 99% offer this for free. ignore the reciprocal link, it will do you no good whatsoever
The key is to not use reciprocal links. Check the directory list in my signature for many free SEO friendly general web directories. Sooner or later the Google axe is going to fall on directories that accept reciprocal links in lieu of payment. Matt Cutts spoke about this, so I would keep that in mind.
Oh so even though they ask for it when you click regular links just don't fill it out and they will still accept you?
Dude... www.digixmas.com ... It will solve all your problems. Free software that allows you to submit to 100 directories in 15 minutes of your time. One of the best free tools on the internet I must say. I'm surprised not many people on this forum know about it. I've pretty much submitted to all the decent directories out there.
So far for me, directory submissions haven't been the best method for building backlinks, but it defintely has helped.
If you pick the regular submission option you can safely ignore the reciprocal link field. There are some directories that would accept your link only if you link to them though, if you are not satisfied by this option you can simply move on to a different one as there are a lot of free non-reciprocal directories out there.
one like if he gets link on pr 3 page in rewards of the link partner link at pr 0. but strictly with the relevant websites,
