I have a friend who a little over a year ago started a site with some interesting content and totally dug into the social networking stuff. He has since been kicked off Dreamhost due to high traffic to his site. He now gets TONS of traffic and does quite well just in consulting for other sites/projects all because he got into social networking and really worked at it. If you actually work at it and take it seriously as something worth more than just links, then it is worth it. If you are just focused on Google's little green bar, then you'll fail. Simple as that.

Digg and stumble is some kind of an elite community. There are people over there in some kind of control about what will get good exposure. If you digg or stumble very poor quality stuff don't expect any traffic at all.

That makes them a good alternative to search engines in terms of preventing spam sites.

digg and stumble can increase your site's traffic but the only thing required is your site should be having a content which has the ability to be popular.

    Thanks...
