Using CrazyEgg?

A few months ago, I was trying to use CrazyEgg.Com to track the clicks on my Adsense pages. I was having problems with the crating code not allowing the adsense click to be properly passed through to Google. I was seeing the clicks, but not getting paid for them. I contacted support at CrazyEgg and they did some tests with me on my site and confirmed that there was an issue. They instructed me to remove the code from my site because they didn't want to be responsible for my lost earnings.

This was at the beginning of the year when this happened. I was thinking of trying the CrazyEgg service again, but wanted to know if anyone on here is using it and is doing okay with it. They did tell me, way back, That I was not the only person it was happening to and that they were working on a fix due out soon (which I would expect to be long done by now.) So, I'm just wondering what your experience with the service has been?

I tried Crazy Egg, and it showed I was getting clicks on adsense, but google never reported them. I guess I should remove them.

yes. i totally agree with you. The day i was testing crazyegg, there was a massive downfall in clicks/revenue. Boom, kicked it off. Didnt bother to check it again

Thank you for the replies. I am glad I am not the only one that had the problem.

Did you ever think that it wasn't crazy egg and that maybe your host sucks?

Adding any additional js always slows down a site, and then a lot of people are being hosted on over loaded servers,....

So maybe your page speed was slow and people were just hitting back

To just "assume" that crazy egg was the only factor ...well is just crazy :)

I tried CrazyEgg in the last 20 hours in a couple of pages, that happened to be on two completely different host (one low cost shared hosting, the other a VMware based Virtual Server).

Today, I enjoyed evaluating the results, heat maps, etc., but I have to confirm that the AdSense clicks haven't reached Google.

I have to add that I wasn't aware of any issues of this kind, but I just tought to check here on DigitalPoint is someone had noticed the same thing in the past.

    Bye!

Crazyegg isn't allowed by adsense. I have been told this several times. Its untargeted traffic.

Mark a lot of people have made the same mistake. Just write to them. Adsense support. And inform them. Im sure they will understand.
