Using Copyrighted Youtube videos in a TV show

Is it legal to embed a youtube video into an online TV show even though it contains copyrighted material?? From what I understand, you can do this, as long as you show the source as Youtube.com and the title of the clip you are using.

I have seen shows like Diggnation, The Digg Reel, Attack of the Show etc, do exactly this. Their show is based on showing videos, a lot of them are from youtube, and a lot of them contain copyrighted material, but they all just list the source and clip title when they play it.

Surely if these guys do it, it must be legal? They are million dollar companies and would have lawyers working for them, yet they still do it and have not been sued?

They also do it when they want to use background music of big songs that are infringing copyright, but just have the source and clip title present.

If this is legal, another question I have is what if these clips are removed from Youtube because of their copyrighted content, must you then remove the video/song from your TV show?

    MANY THANKS!!! :)
