Hi, I have a large site that has over 300,000 pages. I have had this site for 4 years or more. It has different sections that are all designed with different colors. For example, I have a product price comparison that is blue and white, I have an articles directory section that is green and white, I then have a free online games section that is different shades of purlely blue plus I also have different sections. Do you think I should keep my site with each section designed as different color schemes or do you think that I should keep the whole site with the same color scheme all the way through. With the different color schemes, people still know that they are on the same site as the main logo and header image is the same plus a few other things at the top and there is a similar design throughout the site apart from the different color schemes. I thought that using a different color scheme for each section would be a good idea as people will remember that and when they go to my site they will know straight away that they are on the right section of the site because of the color. Do you think this is a good approach or do you think I should use the same color scheme throughout the whole of the site. I thought that using different colors people will also not get quite so bored of seeing the same colors all the time. What do you think? I ask this because I am doing a redesign and would like to know your thoughts? Just incase you would like to know the site is: http://www.simplysearch4it.com. To see the different color schemes, please navigate through the different sections using the main navigation menu near the top of the page. Thanks and I look forward to your comments.
