Does anybody now know if the normal small product iframe widgets (image+text) are definitely ok (with regards to google indexing your blogger site).I'm wondering if these iframes on blogger are stopping my blog getting indexed,or its a problem with blogger,& i should be opting for text or image only amazon widgets?
Ive only just today put adsense on the blog which may speed things up as nothing is for free.:)
My blog appears in googles search results, but is showing "not indexed,it may take time" in webmaster tools,& when i click on the link in google search engines it goes to blogger saying that my blog doesnt exist, but i changed the name of the blog so maybe this is why??

Also would my blog be more google index freindly if i used mainly text with text links to an external astore?

    Cheers all.

Hi - I doubt if these widgets are affecting your index, unless your blog is "thin", i.e. little content, mostly ads - Google will avoid you for that reason, but there is no reason for the iframes and Javascript widgets to actually harm your indexing that I know of.

The reason I personally don't like them though is that the content they display is not considered a part of your site by Google and you lose any SEO benefit of having the products displayed. So in that respect your text links might be a better bet. And they have been shown to give at least as high a click-through as image-type ads.

Not sure of specifically linking to your aStore but I have done it on my WordPress-based blog for ages and I haven't noticed any problem. Not that I have had many sales that way either, but my store has reached PR2 just from the link from my blog..!

Iframes shouldn't negatively effect your blog's indexing, but they do index poorly in my experience.

Thanks for your thoughts people. Can anybody give any help as to why my blog shows in googles search results, but webmaster tools is showing that my blog is not indexed yet.Can my blog be in the search results,& still not be indexed with gg?
Also when i click on the link i get-Blog not found,at the blogger site???

Do you think Squidoo is a little cluttered with too much going on for written content with amazon ads? (as a host for my blog rather than Blogger).

    Cheers.
