Start with Blogger as you will receive your AdSense account fatser than websites. And then get a domain and hosting with your adsense earnings :D ;)

Either will be Ok if you determine to do it well.
If you are a beginner, maybe blogger will be better.

I've seen WordPress blogs get indexed super fast, made me wonder if the whole sandbox theory has any truth behind it. To be fair though, I've also seen some WP sites wait a few months to get indexed as well, so I think it really boils down to backlinks in the end for indexing.

As for getting AdSense quicker as Dreamchaser implied, I don't know if that's true or not. But, most people I've known who had an honest site were approved pretty fast.

I'd say go with a site of your own right off if you can manage it. You'll have more freedom and moving away from Blogger later can be a pain.

    Good luck,
    Scott

hmm...I have several websites and several blogger accounts. When I create a new site, I decide if it will be a blogger (or wordpress.com) account based on a few things: Is it spammy? (Will the content be against the TOS?) Do I want to trust someone else to host that content? How much custom programming or themes do I plan on? Do I need other things (like a gallery or a forum or a directory script)? etc.

Plan your site well. Sometimes a hosted account makes sense, other times it simply does not.

Agree. You will have more control with your own hosting and domain.
Get some links pointing to your blog and you will be easily indexed.

I would start with blogger, becasue it's free. If in a few months things are going wel for ou and you are actually still blogging, then I would move.

Unless it's for personal use and not business I think you should get your own domain and use either Typepad or Wordpress.

Thats how I got my adsense, via blogger.com

It was super easy and super fast.

I was later shocked to hear about people having issues with getting adsense accounts since its soo easy to get one via blogger.com

i say start a website AND a blog, then link them.

    it's a `no lose` situation IMHO

    that's how i do it.

    best wishes
