Generally, you set up a 301 (permanent) redirect from non-www to the www address. However, I'm not sure how this is achieved when using the domain as forwarding directly to your blogger acct.

If you don't have any luck getting a definite answer here, check out the discussions on Google's own webmaster support boards. Good luck!

Go to Blogger Settings. Then do the following:

    1. Go to Publishing
    2. Put your domain address there, then check the box with Redirect yourodomain.net to www.yourdomain.net
    3. save settings

don't add http:// in your URL.

Return to Blogspot's settings. Remove the custom URL setting. Then Save. Then repeat the procedure I posted earlier. That procedure solved a similar problem I had before.

    i can only:
Switch to: • blogspot.com (Blogger's free hosting service)
i Switch to blogspot.com and then do your procedure.
    but didn`t work!
i think only by webhosting we can use without www.
is any way for solving the problem without buying webhosting?

I also have this problem... I hate using www especially if on long domain name or other non-.com TLD
    it looks awful with www.my-long-domain-name.info
    better: my-long-domain-name.info (naked domain)

    Formerly, blogger allow naked domain.
but recently, blogger doesn't allow that anymore
here is the source : http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=139485

I don't know how to get indexed without www.
But if you only want your domain to work with redirect to www, you can follow this:

If your registrar have domain redirecting feature (eq: GoDaddy) you can simply choose the URL redirect and redirect to your www.your-domain.com

If you can't use the URL redirect, because you're pointing your domain to everydns,
    - Get a free hosting like byethost that allow htaccess and set your domain on it but do not change your nameserver.
    - put a .htaccess that redirect 301 to the www
    - go to every DNS and fill the A record with the free host IP address
    that's it...

this is the temporary solution... let's hope blogger allow that naked domain again or we must move to wordpress...

I was googling for same Question.. how to use naked domain and i got here on my favorit DP forum.

I am agree with all those Things told by : ayaw

And Finaly: We have to understand about this >>> http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=139485

blogger not to support naked domain without www on-your.com would not work.
You have to signup and purchaise this domain on-your.com using blogger domain purchaise services. Then blogger will allow you to use your domain as on-your.com

Otherwise you are bound to use www.on-your.com as long as you are to use blogger free hosting for your blog.

I think they allow the naked domain redirection now because I tried it on my blog, anoobsguide.com and it seemed to work fine :)

I use Dynadot as the domain registar.

Here is the solution for Yahoo and Godaddy and probably all other Registrar

    http://www.ialwayscapital.com/2009/05/forwardredirect-naked-domains-to.html

    http://www.ialwayscapital.com/2009/05/redirectforward-yahoo-naked-domainurl.html

I was facing the same issue long back, then i solved it and wrote a blog post for this. After applying these settings (which you will find in above links) your site will work with or without WWW for an example look my site http://ialwayscapital.com which is in blogger and domain purchased from Yahoo.
