Ok curious to find out from those of you that use autoresponders to collect leads. I just added it to my site over the weekend (site launched last monday couple of sales a day).. now what i am finding is people are signing up for the "Free E-course" I offer, but no sales? I am getting about 5-10 sign ups a day for the ecourse,

and was only getting 1-3 sales a day prior to adding the auto responder.. so just curious, do the sales pick up after you market to your leads list? or is it better to just not have an autoresponder and hope they sign up :) LOL!

any tips would be much appreciated!

    Cheers,
    Lindsey

You need to warm up your list before you try to sell to them. Leave the sales messages for later in your sequence, and make sure to remind them again of the sale later in the sequence or offer a discount on it.

It is very important what KerryEmrich said about "warm up your list" you must gain their confidence.

Some guy said sometime you must have send about 7 follow up letters in order to grab a sell.

I think you must give ´em after your initial gift an offer to your primary product this is your 1rs follow up.

2nd give ´em maybe another gift or free article or some interesting info regarding the topic you´ll visitor were looking for when arrived to your site.

3rd maybe a FAQ about your primary offer, some potential clients don´g buy from you because have some question(s) about your offer. It´s a good to have a FAQ about anything you offer.

In this way you can become a friend of your lead and gain his/her confidence before buy something. But you can trust if you become a friend people will buy from you.

And remember, your list is the most Valuable resource you have. The money is in the list.

I hope this to be useful

    Best Regards

    God Bless you

    Thank you!

I have it set up now to offer 5 lessons on how to use private label articles, then a free article a week that they can use after the lesson.. sounds like I need to add some selling verbiage in there too!

    Thanks for the tips!

Gaining the confidence of your consumers is critical as others have mentioned. But the other thing you want to do is as you are sending your material out .. alway reference the product you want to eventually sell. Soft sell it in every followup message but don't over do it.

ie: I hope you enjoyed todays tips. Now if you really want to learn how to use a sewing machine, chapter 7 of my ebook will walk you through the best place to buy sewing machines, how to use new age alternative threads in sewing leather as well as Oprah's best keep secret on sewing with ....

Keep dropping interesting facts and details about what you want them to buy. If its a ebook, give them a preview free chapter. Another TIP I use is that I send out a message 3 weeks after they bought my products saying...

    Hey Bob,

I was looking through my files and noticed you purchased my book a few weeks ago. I would really appreciate if you could provide me with some feedback regarding my book. Lots of people comment on chapter 7, what was your favorite part of the book?

You would be amazed how many testimonials you start getting in!
    :)
