Has anyone used automated services with much success? Is that better suited for firms with a larger budget for SEO? Say SEOmoz.org for instance- would that be practical for an individual blogger or small business? I'd like to hear all of your thoughts on this. Maybe share some experiences with automation services if have some.
    Thanks

I was not aware of SEOmoz providing automated seo services, they do have useful research tools, some with free access. Their Open Site Explorer for example can be useful for comparing the backlinks of competitors sites. They also have a nice compilation of tutorial material.

For the most part SEO related automation involves various methods to more quickly get backlinks from other sites, unfortunately much of this automated backlinking can be categorized as Spam. A smaller site operator would typically hire an SEO specialists who owns these automation tools, take care, getting numerous links at once leaves a pattern that might cause them to be discredited.
