Using an established domain to help another

    Hi

    Our company have recently changed our image slightly and thus registered a very similar domain name.

    The old domain has a PR of 2 and has been on the 'net for around 3 years. Can we use some of this to help the other site? Does it work like that?

    eg. Would a simple redirect from the old site help the new one? Or is there some other methods we can employ to help the new domain?

    if your company is no longer using the old domain, then doing a redirect will help somewhat.

    The old site is still there and being used but the plan is to merge the 2 sites and start using the new one for everything.
