using Adwords to target good Adsense keywords?

I was just thinking about this while looking through my company's Adwords account...if you look at the list of keywords, each one has a "minimum bid", and this list ranges from a minimum of .10 cents to some phrases that are a minimum of $5.00. If you register or target a site to correlate with those $5-bid adwords ads, would your chances of success increase with the Adsense ads you put on that site?

    For instance:
Keyword "gadget XY" has a minimum bid of $5.00
-I register mygadgetxy.com and write up a big elaborate site for it, use target tags on "gadget XY" instances, and put Adsense on it

Would it be successful? I'm assuming that anything with a minimum bid of even $5 means that the ad competition is very high, and probably paying a fortune. My company has some keywords with a minimum bid of .10 cents, and we're paying in the upward of $7-8 per click for them.
