I do website installations and copywriting and have done a limited amount of ppc marketing (years ago when goto and findwhat were the big players). Up until now I have sold websites cold-calling and using existing contacts, but it feels inefficient. There are no locals in the city I'm in offering these services on the major ppc networks and I know alot of the local businesses would prefer a local. Has anyone had any experience with this, I really just need to get leads, I'm a salesperson by trade, when get in front of potential leads, I have a good conversion rate. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
You could try writing a report about what makes a good website from a design point of view and what should be avoided. To get the report, people need to opt in to your list. You can then follow up with them one on one or using a series of autoresponders. You can then advertise the free report via PPC. Its a quicker way to build a list than using straight SEO, especially as your aim is to build leads. When you have enough leads (especially if you're doing one on one follow ups) you can turn it off and then when you want more leads again you can turn it back on. Jill
use PPC for lead generation and to make your phone ring. You probably only need a few things to make your landing page work 1. Great messaging about your services 2. Lead Form 3. White Paper 4. Phone number
