I have a client that doesn't want a website built - but wants to use adwords to show people his business and where his biz is located. I told him he needed a website. However, he said that he heard that you can advertise on Google for free. I ended up looking for such a thing - I did run across Google.com/places - wondering if that was what he was talking about. What about it guys? Can you use adwords to promote a business w/out a website?
You need a website for Adwords. That's the whole point: for people to click to a site. Advertise for free? No. Not using Adwords. He's probably thinking SEO. But of course, you need a site for that too.
You will need a site for adwords. if you are promoting some products, you can do direct linking. But this is for affiliates...
I'd say it's definately Google Places, what used to be Google Local Business that your client is thinking about it, but all the references that I can see about, refer to adding the details of your website - having said that, it would be easy enough to put up one page with a photo and the address and phone number - could even do it on a free platform.
One can promote his business listing for free on the google search using Google Places application interface.Through tis one can promote his company name, address, phone number, direction loaction etcc. But it is not possible to promote you company / business on google adwords until and unless u have a website. I hope the information helps u out.....
