Using adsense

    Is it alright to put adsense on a site that takes articles from a free article directory such as http://www.goarticles.com/ or is it against their TOS?

    yeah but at least make sure it's free without copyright and also at least state the source. that should be fine. but if they are free, there are hi chance that other people will use those article too and it may lead to duplicate content issue.
