10:36 am on Dec. 24, 2007 (utc 0) I've found a few websites and blogs overtime that copy/paste entire pages from my sites and put adsense ads on it and make money using copyrighted material, like this one my website: http://www.example.com scammer's blog: http://example.blogspot.com/ what is the best/fastest way to resolve this? thank you...
this happens to me allll the time - the world is full of idiots that think they can get rich fast with little/no work.. fortunately most of these worthless blogs never get any traffic.. This is how i deal with them: 1) send an email or post a comment that nicely mentions that they have stolen your content and you wish for it to be removed, or given a link to the source 2) if no response after a day or two, click one of the little "ads by google" logos on one of their ads, scroll to the bottom and click "send your thoughts on the ads you just saw", then at the bottom of that click "also report a violation". there is an option for "The site is hosting/distributing my copyrighted content" - If they are running other advertising systems you can report to them via email 3) if they're grabbing your RSS feed, make sure you have a copyright notice in it i've had a couple of scrapers/copy & pasters banned from Adsense, and several others that apologized, linked to me as the source and learned their lesson..
I do give anyone permission to use my articles on my blog, with a condition, they state my blog address as a backlink, but I saw in digg, someone has use the article in their blog without linking back to me..that just pissed me off..eventhough with only 3 month running with only 38 readers, I do feel like not being appreciate by people like that. Thanks Tearabite, maybe I will report to ads company.
