Using adsense in foreign language sites?

Hi, I have a car classifieds site in Hong Kong. It has about 1000 daily uniques and about 8000 daily page views. I am thinking of how to add advertising revenue to it apart from the classifieds.

I want to ask you pros whther you think adsense is worth it for me. I think that adsense is not really catered for the Tradional Chinese language though, does that mean I am not allowed to use it on my site or does it mean that it would not be too benificial.

I did a test with it and it seems that most of the times, no ads are shown. I am thining whther this is a location thing or because most of the content is in traditional chinese.

Anyways, a few questions if I may.

    1. Do you think adsense is right for me in the above scenerio? If not what do you suggest to try get some more revenue?
    2. What adsense income do you think my car classifieds can get if I can get adsense to show up ads more often?
    3. Is adsense not allowed in Traditional chinese sites or just not recommended?

    Thanks in advance.

I have some asia related pages and an asia related forum and see sometimes chinese or other asian language adsense.
asia and specially china certainly is the market of the future and its just a matter of time until more chinese adsense are available

however my asia forum has far above average CTR and eCPM in whatever language the adsense are
hence i recommend that if your site in general is accepted by google - add adsense and be a little patient - its just a matter of months or years until the rush will start. china is one of the major industrial partners for all world and the potential is great for a solid adsense income, specially if you have english and chinese pages

Thanks Hans for the reply but I need to ask have patience for what? At the moment, my main problem is that most of the time, only the public ad is shown and therefore I don't get any revenue even if people clik on it.

Do you mean that over time, more ads will be shown?

Sorry but I am very new to adsense and dont really understand how it rates a site for keywords. I am wondering whether the problem is because most of my users are from Hong Kong which may not be selected as a targetted demo graphic as much as US or Uk, or its just because of the content of my pages in chinese that is stopping the ads being shown.

If its the content, I suppose, I can try to add more english to the pages but it will be hard considering that the chinese keywords will still be in the majority.

    Thanks for any help :)

    yes thats what i mean
the chinese market is a complex market for google because it involves an unusual foreign language and difficult political situation as well
but the chinese market is a market to explode one day and you will be glad to be prepared

    if i were you
    have english and chinese pages
have google adsense ready and installed
but also use via scripts other ads or affiliate prgrams
and change every once in a while to see how many paying google ads appear
as soon as the market really opens your ads will turn from public to $ ads

i see that my own asia forum has one of the highest CTR and eCPM of my entire site
its just a matter of topics and language

for example as an additional motivation
chinese refferrers from various chinese SE have sky-rocketed in the last year on my site and china as a country now already is Nr 5 - one year ago china was nr 15 on my site
now i have approximately 9x more traffic per months form china than a year ago
look at the HUGE country and its potential market for any kind of industry
as soon as www infrastructure is improved and as soon as google ad-SELLERS are in place in china - your market will jump up

for the time being focus on english language content but make it clear in your folder structure that your site is about asia_china_hongkong to attract adsense in any language relevant to the local market

foir chinese ads to appear google also needs people selling adWORDS to local business - may be that is one other income resource for you - look if Google offers incentives for selling adwords on your site to potential business owners ...

    God bless
